Past & Present
We believe that the standard of a “well-built” home should be one shaped by beauty, functionality, and integration with nature. We think that the spaces in your home should be infused with deep spatial awareness and functionality and spring from a Consideration for your well-being and a sense of sacred space.
We believe that the best spaces are those wherein the materials and purpose are in harmony. We believe that an inspired home is at the heart of a deeper life. That the most nourishing moments of the day happen in your communal spaces. We think that the quality of light, the level of moisture in the air, and the orientation of the home are just as important as the sustainable finishes and the functional spaces.
We believe that buying a home should feel less like a transaction—and more like a homecoming. Whether you’re dreaming of your first fixer-upper or finally ready for your forever home, we meet you exactly where you are on the journey. We listen closely. We move at your pace. And we bring warmth, honesty, and deep local knowledge to every conversation.
We believe that an intentional home is at the heart of a more joyful life. That the most nourishing moments of the day happen in our communal spaces. We resist that idea that your home needs to be overwhelmed with “things” to capture your unique story and instead lean on the idea that fewer, but more meaningful pieces layered together can capture your essence in a more enduring way.

We believe in finding joy in the little things. In transforming everyday rituals into something more beautiful. We curate our favorite essentials and objects for life-enhancing practices and offer inspiration around their profound benefits.
We think that meaningful and functional objects in the home are the key to energetically-infused and inherently nourishing spaces. That fewer “things” and more intention behind them lead to a richer sense of peace in your space.
Bliss Farm & Retreat was a serene, 50-acre sanctuary nestled in the Appalachian foothills outside Asheville, North Carolina. It was Kelly McCullough’s first full real estate development, created alongside her late husband, Frank King. Together, they brought the vision to life using their combined expertise in construction, real estate, accounting, and design — grounded in intention, creativity, and good old-fashioned hard work. The property featured a restored farmhouse, cozy cabins, woodland trails, and open meadows, all cultivated to offer a sense of peace, beauty, and deep connection to the land.
From 2017 to 2020, Bliss hosted intimate retreats that drew seekers, healers, and teachers from around the country. Programming ranged from yoga and meditation to women’s circles, grief work, and somatic healing. The experience of building and curating Bliss Farm laid the foundation for Kelly’s future ventures, shaping her belief in the transformative power of space — and the connection between environment and inner evolution.
Bliss Design & Interiors was launched in 2020 by Kelly as a sister company to Bliss Farm & Retreat. Born out of the pandemic pause in retreat programming, the business emerged from a natural wave of interest — past retreat guests who had experienced the calming, soulful atmosphere of Bliss Farm began asking for help bringing that same feeling into their own homes.
Rooted in the belief that design is an extension of well-being, Bliss Design & Interiors offered full-home interior installations and renovations with a focus on layered textures, organic materials, and intuitive spatial flow. Kelly’s work combined artistic sensibility with deep energetic attunement, helping clients create homes that felt both beautiful and deeply personal.
While the studio is no longer offering services, Bliss Design & Interiors played a key role in shaping the design philosophy that lives on through Abode — carrying forward the same commitment to authenticity, warmth, and intentional living.
